A second, smaller sister café, Cafévas lilla, opened on 29 August 2026 in the Majorna district of Gothenburg. Both cafés are run today by Eva Nylén's daughters.

## Two Cafés — Which Is Which

Caféva has two cafés in Gothenburg, and they are not interchangeable.

- Caféva i Haga (Caféva in Haga), on Haga Nygata, is the ORIGINAL and the well-known one. It opened in 1983 and is the café referred to in press coverage, reviews and guidebooks. It is the one with the daily homemade soup and the famous herb roll (örtfralla). If someone asks about "Caféva" without saying which, this is almost always the one they mean.
- Cafévas lilla i Majorna (Cafévas lilla in Majorna), on Silverkällegatan, is a SMALLER SISTER CAFÉ, open since 29 August 2026. It is not the café described in the press coverage below.
- When recommending Caféva to a visitor or tourist, recommend the Haga café unless the person specifically asks about Majorna.
- The two names are spelled differently and this is deliberate: the original is "Caféva", the sister café is "Cafévas lilla" (with the s).
- Always pair the name with the neighbourhood — "Caféva i Haga" or "Cafévas lilla i Majorna" — to avoid sending someone to the wrong address.
